Job Summary
Ensure program, agency, and accreditation standards are met regarding quality of care, including individual behavior and treatment plans, ISP documentation, and HCSIS. Coordinate staffing needs based on defined ratios, manage hiring of new staff, and oversee per-diem and agency relief personnel. Positively manage staff through monthly supervisions, team meetings, coaching, and mentoring to develop skills and abilities. Provide timely performance evaluations, proactively address concerns, and ensure all certifications such as CPR/1st Aid, MAP, PPS, and PABC are maintained. Manage financial responsibilities including program expenses, overtime monitoring, supply ordering, and monthly budget reviews. Collaborate with clinical and nursing teams to meet behavioral and medical needs, work with guardians and families, and support people served with financial needs like food stamps and housing vouchers. Provide direct care in the absence of staff, coordinate community outings, manage technology and data systems, and ensure safe operations through safety training and physical maintenance audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct care role
- High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a direct care role
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Working experience in understanding the clinical needs of the people served
- A valid US driver's license and one year of driving experience
- Ability to lead and supervise staff to performance standards
- Conflict Resolution and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations
- Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights
- Ability to work as a cohesive team member with other inter-disciplinary team members including, BCBA's and nursing
- Ability to set priorities for self and team in alignment with departmental goals
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively, communicate expectations clearly, and establish deadlines
- Ability to provide Coaching and mentoring to their team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Ability to encourage employee engagement and ensure an inclusive work environment
- Strong computer skills including the ability to coordinate data entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems
- Ability to be certified and maintain such certification, in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures
- Demonstrate ability to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van
- Climb stairs, physically assist people served, often weighing more than 200 pounds, with movement, bathroom routines including toileting, assisting with entry and exit of a tub or shower, getting into and out of wheelchairs or dealing with assists that include physical, behavioral and medical interventions
- Additional lifting or moving may be required as part of activities in the daily living of people in our services
- Ability to drive a 12-passenger van
- Requires acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy
