Job Summary
Oversee daily operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance of a licensed residential care home serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Manager, maintain adequate staff levels, and ensure full compliance with Vermont Division of Licensing and Protection and Developmental Disabilities Services Division regulations. Manage household budgets, supervise staff scheduling, and coordinate services for residents while ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and home-like. Deliver direct physical care including bathing, toileting, and assistance with activities of daily living, while overseeing implementation of client-specific plans and protocols. Provide after-hours, on-call managerial support on a rotating fifty percent basis. Work flexible hours as scheduled and respond non-punitively to behavioral challenges to promote positive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a State approved certification
- At least an Associates degree in the area of human services
- Two (2) years of administrative experience in adult residential care
- Three (3) years of general experience in residential care
- One year in management, supervisory or administrative capacity
- A current Vermont license as a nurse
- A current Vermont license as a nursing home administrator
- Other professional qualifications and experience related to the provision of healthcare services
- Experience related to the management of healthcare facilities
- Must demonstrate a capacity to respond non-punitively, and in ways that encourage positive growth, to behavioral challenges and physical demands of the consumer
- Must be willing to work flexible hours as scheduled when needed or requested
