Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances. Respond promptly to maintenance requests, conduct routine inspections of fire protection and life-safety systems, and prepare apartments for move-ins and move-outs. Maintain community vehicles, assist with grounds maintenance, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Document all activities accurately and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for emergency support. Maintain inventory of emergency supplies and support staff training on building systems and safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of maintenance experience involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documents, and work orders
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and electric meters
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour on-call maintenance rotation

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fire, safety, and building code regulations
  • Experience working in a healthcare, senior living, assisted living, or residential community setting
