Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems in residential properties. Troubleshoot appliance failures, fix leaks, and replace faulty fixtures while maintaining water and sewage infrastructure. Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning ducts and replacing filters to ensure system efficiency. Communicate with tenants to resolve concerns and respond to work orders promptly. Adhere to safety protocols and local building codes throughout all tasks. Manage tool inventory and order necessary parts for repairs.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general repair techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual labor tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and management
- May require evening or weekend hours depending on the urgency of maintenance requests
- Job may involve lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Job may involve helping the team in other areas like painting, cleaning, grounds work, snow removal, etc.
