Job Summary
Residential Lead Staff provides leadership to staff and clients in a residential services program under the Site Supervisor/Administrator and Director of Residential Services. Responsibilities include supervising staff and individuals with disabilities, coordinating daily activities, implementing Individual Service Plans and behavior plans, accompanying clients to appointments, maintaining client files and documentation, administering medications per policies, providing transportation, and contributing to program quality and regulatory compliance. Requires two years of direct supervision experience in human services (preferably with adults with developmental disabilities), high school education or equivalent, proficiency with Excel/Word, CPR/First Aid and DOJ background check clearance, valid California driver’s license, and ability to collaborate effectively while maintaining professional conduct across varied shifts. Five eight-hour shifts weekly with occasional evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Two years’ experience providing direct supervision of individuals in a human services delivery system (preferably working with adults with developmental disabilities) including at least one year in a comparable program.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to supervise staff and clients and coordinate daily scheduled activities.
- High School education or equivalent.
- Ability to create and maintain documents using Excel and Word.
- Overall familiarity with computer programs.
- Ability to be certified in all NVS intervention training including Pro-Act, Behavior Tools, PCM Practitioner Level 2.
- Ability to effectively implement Individual Service Plans (ISP).
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work efficiently with others.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Current California driver’s license, with an acceptable DMV printout and insurability, minimum of a 3-year driving history.
- Ability to pass a DOJ criminal background check.
- Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses.
