Job Summary
The Residential Instructor is responsible for consumer supervision and program operations, ensuring safety and welfare of the consumers. Key responsibilities include monitoring consumer behavior, implementing behavior management programs, documenting activities, maintaining safety and cleanliness of the home, conducting inspections, assisting in hygiene needs, distributing medications, and providing community activities. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, have two years of relevant experience or educational equivalent, hold a valid driver’s license, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or that are dually diagnosed
- Valid drivers license and ability to be insured by the insurance company throughout employment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to obtain and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS State Medication Administration.
