Job Summary
Perform start-up, testing, commissioning, and warranty service of newly installed residential HVAC systems in new construction homes. Verify proper equipment installation, test system performance including airflow and refrigerant levels, and calibrate thermostats for optimal efficiency. Diagnose installation issues, ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes, and complete all documentation and checklists. Educate homeowners on system operation and maintain a clean work environment. No on-call rotation required; occasional after-hours work as needed. Valid driver's license and EPA certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3+ years of HVAC experience
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and start-up procedures
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and installation layouts
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Travel within service area
- Occasional after-hours work
