Residential HVAC Installation Technician

Job Summary
Lays out, assembles, installs all areas of residential HVAC installations including ductwork, setting, and starting up split and package systems. Gas piping, venting and electrical as well. Diagnoses electrical and refrigeration issues and fixes them on startup; designs ductwork layouts including square duct or transitions; installs systems including zoned, dual fuel, geothermal, magic packs, gas or heat pump and any accessories; braze copper; knowledge of duct sizing for 1.5 to 5-ton units; basic metal fabrication; basic electrical wiring; performs in-house training to team members in the Lee Company way.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of field experience
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- EPA certification to handle refrigerant
- Ability to diagnose electrical and refrigeration issues
- Ability to design ductwork layouts and install duct systems including square duct or transitions
- Ability to install various systems (zoned, dual fuel, geothermal, magic packs, gas or heat pump) and accessories
- Proficient in pulling and installing standard electrical wire circuits for above
- Knowledge of required duct sizing for 1.5 to 5-ton units
- Ability to braze copper of all sizes
- Basic metal fabrication
- Basic computer knowledge
