Job Summary
Conduct daily one-hour individualized visits with residents to provide Activities of Daily Living coaching, life-skills support, and medication reminders. Oversee household operations by preparing one community-style dinner, monitoring supplies, and encouraging resident participation in chores. Lead house meetings and resolve interpersonal conflicts using de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, respectful environment. Establish clear boundaries and structure while supporting resident independence in decision-making and community activities. Work Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM as a consistent presence in the home.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalant
- Experience in direct care, residential support, or human services—especially adults liviing with I/DD
- Demonstrated ability to support independence and engage residents with compassion and respect
- Compassionate communicators, who excel with time-management, organization, and conflict de-escalation
- Demonstrate the ability to support independence while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Be comfortable providing structure, setting expectations, and holding residents accountable in a respectful manner
- Working Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
- CPR/First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with adults living with with I/DD
- Experience leading a residential program, household or team
- Undergraduate or graduate-level students in social work, medicine or other related fields
