Job Summary
Handyman for residential property maintenance responsible for keeping common spaces neat and functional; duties include inspecting spaces daily for litter or mechanical issues, responding to emergency tickets, assisting tenants with maintenance requests (air filters, locks, smoke detectors), repairing plumbing/electrical/safety systems in units, preparing units for move-in, maintaining parking lots, sidewalks, and sprinkler systems, testing in-unit appliances, and coordinating with property managers. Requires experience with plumbing/electrical systems, proficiency with hand and power tools, ability to lift up to 40+ pounds, and strong communication with maintenance staff and tenants.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with plumbing and electrical systems required
- Excellent facility with common hand and power tools
- Familiarity with apartment unit layouts and infrastructures
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40+ pounds
- Familiarity with security regulations
- Ability to communicate well with property management and maintenance staff
- Willingness to uphold company standards for safety, tenant service and efficiency
- Must be reliable and professional
- Must wear Company Uniform
