Job Summary
Residential Field Operations Manager responsible for leading and optimizing all field operations related to residential fireplace installation, service, and warranty work. Oversees installers, service technicians, helpers, and subcontractors to complete projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and with excellent customer service. Drives operational excellence through improving field processes, developing team capability, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring customer satisfaction from installation through post-service support. Key duties include team leadership and development, scheduling and execution of installations/services/warranty work, SOP creation, process improvements, performance and financial oversight, safety/compliance, and maintaining strong communication across teams. Required capabilities include 6+ years in field-operations leadership, experience managing technicians/subcontractors, strong scheduling and process-improvement skills, proficiency in coordinating labor, OSHA-readiness, construction-plan/code familiarity, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include fireplace-installation domain knowledge, gas/LP system understanding, and familiarity with field service software/ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience managing field operations within residential construction, installation, HVAC, fireplace, home services, or related industries
- Prior leadership experience managing technicians, installers, subcontractors, or field service teams
- Strong operational management and workforce scheduling experience
- Experience managing customer service escalations and resolving operational issues
- Experience creating processes and improving operational efficiency
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and hold teams accountable
- Comfort and experience within construction sites including climbing ladders up to 40 feet
- Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and applicable building codes
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
