Job Summary
Teach skills to promote independence, support community inclusion, and mentor individuals to build social skills. Provide guidance in daily activities, assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation, and monitor health and safety objectives. Assist with leisure activities, administer medications, and provide transportation to designated sites. Use electronic health records to document events and submit payroll data by scheduled deadlines. Complete initial and ongoing training while participating in staff development. This role supports people with disabilities in group home and community settings within LIFESPAN's mission to empower individuals through education and enrichment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check
- Pass Drug Screen
- Pass driving record check if providing transportation
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently
