Job Summary
Residential Energy Auditor to perform on-site energy audits in Pennsylvania, using diagnostic tools (blower door, combustion analyzer, infrared cameras) to evaluate HVAC, insulation, windows, lighting, and building envelope; analyze utility data and building specifications; input data into audit software; educate homeowners on energy-saving opportunities and rebates; conduct post-installation inspections to verify energy upgrades and ensure program requirements; collaborate with contractors and program managers to deliver high-quality energy efficiency solutions for Inflation Reduction Act/HEAR program participants; strong knowledge of BPI standards and related certifications, with leadership, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in energy, construction, environmental science, or related field preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in field services/quality control and quality assurance or energy efficiency/utility experience
- BPI Building Analyst, RESNET HERS Rater, or equivalent certification or ability to acquire within 30 days
- Knowledge of building science, construction and technical expertise
- Must be a US Citizen
- HERS and RESNET Rater certification preferred
- Ability to travel 25% to 75% of the time (limited overnight travel)
- Experience with SnuggPro a plus
- Interest in sustainability and impactful work
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication; bilingual (Spanish) preferred
