Job Summary

Assist with assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in residential settings. Connect wiring and equipment per code and job specifications while preparing work areas and operating tools such as hydraulic benders and cable vacuum systems. Read blueprints, verify dimensions, and secure equipment after use. Operate only trained and certified equipment including powder-activated tools and JLG lifts. Work in all elements wearing required PPE, performing physical tasks like lifting over 50 pounds and climbing ladders. Schedule includes 8-10 hours daily with overtime and night shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Residential Electrician (Roper)
  • minimum 2 years of experience in roping
  • work in a project in Napa, CA
  • Assist with assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in residential settings
  • Prepares work area for installation of equipment
  • Installs or assists with installation of electrical components
  • Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification
  • Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate
  • Powder activated tools
  • JLG lifts
  • other operations that may require certification and training before operating
  • Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems
  • Learning or be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified
  • Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans
  • Secure and lock up equipment after use
  • A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Assist with complex electrical installations in a fast-paced and fast-production environment
  • Be proficient in type NM (Romex) and/or MC wiring methods
  • Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladder by oneself
  • Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.)
  • working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required
  • Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
