Job Summary
Respond to service calls from residential clients, diagnosing and repairing electrical issues like faulty wiring, circuit breakers, and fixtures. Perform thorough quality control checks on completed installations and conduct hot checks to identify safety hazards. Safely install and wire electrical systems for new construction and renovations, while also installing and maintaining residential generators. Communicate with customers to assess needs and address concerns, prioritizing safety and maintaining a clean work environment. Requires 1–2 years of residential electrical experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift 80 pounds. Salary ranges from $18–$30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and technical diagrams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and strong work ethic
- Own basic hand and power tools
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in residential electrical work, construction, or a related field
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday
- Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders up to 28 feet in height
- Must be able to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and roofs
- Must have the ability to use hands and arms to handle tools and perform repetitive tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of (or enrollment in) a state-recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred
- Generator installation and maintenance experience preferred but not required
