Job Summary
Completes new construction residential installs and warranty work, including planning installations to minimize material waste and ensure code compliance. Prepares sketches or follows blueprints for concealed wiring, then splices wires by stripping insulation, twisting, soldering, and applying caps. Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, power equipment, and grounding leads while testing circuit continuity with instruments like ohmmeters. Observes installed systems to detect hazards and repairs faulty equipment or components. Occasionally travels to work at other sites within Palmetto Residential Electric and may work overtime. Requires 2-3 years of residential experience, physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 75 pounds, and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience with residential work
- Ability to work as a team member
- Organization and time management skills
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
- Ability to occasionally travel to work in other sites within Palmetto Residential Electric
- Possibly required to work overtime
- Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which include but are not limited to the ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must have the ability to pass a urine drug test and background check
- Must be able to provide a clean driving record
