Job Summary
Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall panels on walls, ceilings, and soffits while performing patching, repairs, and insulation installation. Read plans and work orders to identify materials, tools, and methods, then inspect work for quality before finishing. Maintain clean, safe work areas and communicate progress to the Foreman or Project Manager. Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scaffolding safely while supporting apprentices or helpers as needed. Represent the company professionally with homeowners and contractors. Full-time hours in Wichita, KS, with pay by square footage.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a drywall and/or insulation installer in residential construction
- Ability to hang drywall, perform repairs, and install insulation with limited supervision
- Knowledge of common residential construction practices, materials, and tools
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and ability to work full-time hours
- Ability to work well with a team and maintain a professional attitude
- Valid driver's license preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with both new construction and remodel/service work
- Experience with batt insulation, blown-in insulation, air sealing, drywall hanging, and patch repair
- Ability to perform basic drywall finishing is a plus
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience leading or training helpers/apprentices
