Job Summary
Operate a collection truck along designated routes to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment are in proper working order, reporting any issues immediately. Safely lift and load refuse using manual and/or automatic controls, dispose of material at designated facilities, and clean the truck body and packer blade after each trip. Maintain adherence to all company, state, and federal regulations while completing daily vehicle condition reports and route productivity sheets. Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean up accidental spills in accordance with safety policies. Full-time employment with weekly overtime available. Requires Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement and two years of heavy truck driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement
- Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Great attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds
