Job Summary
Residential Driver responsible for safe operation of a waste collection truck servicing residential areas on scheduled routes. Duties include collecting household waste, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading/unloading as needed, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, reporting operational issues, and interacting professionally with residents. Requires CDL, DOT drug screen compliance, physical stamina, and adherence to safety standards; shifts 8-10 hours, 5-6 days/week. Compensation $26.00-$27.00 per hour with full benefits; focus on safety and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Valid CDL driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must be able to pass DOT drug screen test
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience driving a truck or large vehicle is preferred
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform physical labor (lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various weather conditions)
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete routes within timelines
