Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, replace, and install residential interior and exterior door systems, including prehung doors, slabs, and jambs. Perform finish carpentry for trim, casing, and minor framing adjustments while troubleshooting alignment and hardware issues. Protect client property, communicate repair recommendations, and maintain accurate job records using mobile software. Work Monday through Friday with professionally scheduled residential service calls, no overnight travel, and a steady workload.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional residential door installation, repair, finish carpentry, or closely related experience
- Strong knowledge of interior and exterior door systems
- Experience installing prehung doors and door slabs
- Strong understanding of door alignment and troubleshooting
- Experience working with jambs, thresholds, casing, trim, hinges, and hardware
- Ability to identify framing conditions affecting door installation or operation
- Strong finish carpentry skills
- Ability to accurately measure and plan installations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Professional appearance
- Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and job-management software
- Ability to maintain organized tools and a clean work vehicle
- Monday–Friday schedule
- No regularly scheduled weekends
- Local residential service calls only — no overnight travel
