Job Summary
Hire, train, and directly supervise Residential Managers to uphold performance standards and agency requirements. Provide leadership by creating a positive work climate, coaching staff through continuous training, and conducting timely performance evaluations. Oversee referral, intake, transfer, and discharge processes while ensuring compliance with DDS, CARF, and Bridgewell policies. Monitor program budgets through financial analysis and build relationships with funding sources, families, and community groups. Serve as On-Call Director on a rotating basis and provide interim program leadership during vacancies. Drive a 12-passenger or wheelchair van, maintain required certifications, and assist with physical care needs as part of daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3-5 years of experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities
- 5-7 years of experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities
- 3-5 years of supervisory and team leadership experience
- 3-5 years of experience in budget management
- Working experience in understanding the clinical needs of the people served
- Valid US driver's license
- One year of driving experience
- Ability to lead and supervise leaders and ensure teams meet the required performance standards
- Strong Conflict Resolution and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations
- Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights
- Ability to set priorities for self and coach leaders in delegating and prioritizing in alignment with departmental goals
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively, communicate expectations clearly, and establish deadlines for their teams
- Ability to provide Coaching and mentoring to their team of leaders to enhance their skills and performance and ensure they develop strong employees in their programs
- Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Ability to encourage employee engagement and ensure an inclusive work environment across their teams
- Strong computer skills including the ability to coordinate data entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems
- Ability to be certified and maintain such certification, in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures
- Demonstrate ability to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage an operating budget
- Climb stairs
- Physically assist people served, often weighing more than 200 pounds
- Assisting with entry and exit of a tub or shower
- Getting into and out of wheelchairs
- Dealing with assists that include physical, behavioral and medical interventions
- Additional lifting or moving
- Acceptable CORI results
