Job Summary
Oversee site operations in a congregate emergency residential shelter, ensuring guest safety and enforcing rules and regulations. Conduct intake activities and orientation for new clients, while providing life skills support, guidance on daily schedules and house policies, and crisis intervention as needed. Manage emergency situations by responding effectively, documenting appropriately, and communicating per established guidelines. Complete required documentation and assist with housekeeping duties to ensure daily chores are finished. Work every Saturday and Sunday from 12AM to 8AM with a shift differential for overnight coverage. Uphold the organization's values of equity, integrity, and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent crisis management skills
- Proficient computer skills in basic computer software and data collection
- Good attention to detail
- Must be available for Saturday and Sunday 12AM-8AM shifts
- Must be able to work overnight shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year previous experience working with individuals in need of social services (preferably low income individuals)
- Bilingual skills
