Job Summary
As a Residential Counselor at Glenhaven Academy, you will provide 24-hour comprehensive care in a residential treatment setting specializing in trauma-informed care for adolescents. You'll create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students and role modeling effective coping strategies, while developing enriching daily activities. Responsibilities include helping students build life skills and self-worth through activities such as cooking and vocational training. The position requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, and offers opportunities for professional development and wellness benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in a second language other than English
- Experience in working with adolescents
- Knowledge of trauma informed care
