Job Summary
The Residential Counselor I will maintain a therapeutic environment within the residence, addressing client needs in safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, and shelter. Responsibilities include developing and implementing limits for children, maintaining client records, participating in treatment planning, promoting the rights of individuals with disabilities, providing case management and outreach, and ensuring individual care and safety. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma; a degree in a human services field is preferred, along with experience in mental health settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience working with psychiatric clients preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving history.
- Must have availability of an automobile to transport individuals.
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or bachelor’s degree in human service field preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
