Job Summary
Conduct recreational and social activities to support individualized recovery for judicially committed clients and mentally disordered offenders. Lead structured skills-based groups addressing coping, stress management, and goal-setting while providing psychoeducation on personal hygiene and communication. Monitor client safety through scheduled house checks, urine screens, and personal space visits, referring clinical concerns to treating staff. Assist clients with community reintegration by connecting them to medical services, education, and support groups like AA/NA. Prepare detailed encounter notes documenting interactions, behaviors, and actions taken, while participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning. Maintain treatment material inventories and ensure compliance with confidentiality policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must have valid California driver's license; good driving record.
- Proof of current auto insurance and must meet insurability requirements of Company insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of mental health experience preferred.
- Community-based mental health experience preferred.
- Active CPR certification preferred.
