Job Summary
Residential Counselor tasked with teaching/counseling adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential program. Responsibilities include direct care (hygiene, meal-time assistance), ensuring safe environments, providing education and counseling to advance ISP goals, developing and presenting annual ISPs and semi-annual assessments, facilitating transportation, and performing case management with confidential files. Requires experience with ID/DD and a related degree (Bachelor's or Associate) or HS diploma with substantial relevant experience; fingerprint/CORI/DPPC and driving background checks are required; MAP certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred. Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- A Bachelor's degree or an associate degree in a related field with two years of experience, or HS diploma and five years of related work experience in Human Services.
- Valid Driver's License
- MAP certification is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
