Residential Counselor (244)

Residential Counselor/Teacher role focused on supporting adults with ID/DD in Lifeworks’ residential programs. Responsibilities include direct care tasks (assistance with showering, toileting, grooming, meal-time support), promoting health and safety in the living environment, delivering education, training, counseling, and ISP-related activities to develop functional academics, domestic skills, health and personal hygiene, social and leisure skills, communication, mobility, self-esteem, and money management. The role involves developing, writing, and presenting annual ISPs and semi-annual assessments, providing transportation as needed, and coordinating with family, guardians, advocates, and other staff to ensure consistency of programming. Case management duties include maintaining confidential files, recording activities, and attending regular meetings. Candidates must have related experience with ID/DD and possess or be pursuing required certifications; a valid driver’s license and MAP certification are preferred.
