Job Summary
Residential Counselor duties include providing direct care and support to adults with ID/DD in a residential program, promoting health, performing hands-on care (showering, toileting, grooming, meal assistance), ensuring safe environments, delivering education, counseling, and ISP-related activities, writing and presenting annual ISPs and semi-annual assessments, providing transportation, and performing case management and documentation, while maintaining communication with family, guardians, funding sources, and staff; requires related experience and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
- A Bachelor's degree or an associate degree in a related field with two years of experience, or HS diploma and five years of related work experience in Human Services.
- Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
- Valid Driver's License
- MAP certification is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
