Job Summary
Answer incoming phone calls and act as the first point of contact for residents, emergency personnel, and visitors. Monitor cameras, document incidents, and conduct security rounds through the campus during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Respond to crises, log daily activities, and complete incident reporting documentation. Provide administrative assistance including data entry, paperwork processing, filing, and shredding. Coordinate bus usage, building issues, and maintenance requests while assisting residents with lockouts, transportation, and basic information. Perform light custodial duties to maintain office space and common areas. Use de-escalation techniques when engaging with upset residents and implement safety plan response procedures. Maintain an activity log and shift inspections for unsafe conditions. This on-call, as needed position requires a High School Diploma and 1-3 years of customer service experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of customer/client service experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Experience with de-escalation techniques in social settings
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups
- Ability to organize, work independently, negotiate and solve problems
- Basic computer literacy
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand; walk; under hand to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- May require the employee to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, or climb
- Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in the human services field preferred
