Job Summary
Residential Construction Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager responsible for managing the construction of on-your-land homes within an assigned region, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery within budget. Core duties include schedule management across projects, enforcing safety regulations, maintaining quality standards, managing budgets and trade-partner negotiations, and handling customer communication throughout the build process. Requires daily travel within local and regional areas and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in homebuilding; proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to read construction documents and building codes.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in homebuilding, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret building codes and construction documents (incl. I-Joist and truss layouts, blueprints, lot gradings)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Reliability and valid driver's license and insurance for daily local/ regional travel
