Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of a residential community housing 280 to 475 students, supervising a team of 7 to 16 student leaders and providing individualized support. Manage building operations including key control, safety inspections, and common area supervision while enforcing institutional policies to ensure a safe environment. Facilitate student conduct meetings, coordinate sanctions, and lead outreach programs emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Participate in 24-hour on-call duty rotations and complete annual collateral assignments in Housing Operations, Student Conduct, or Community Development. Support the Division of Student Affairs through committee work and special initiatives. This full-time, live-in position includes a furnished apartment and partner/pet policy.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and/or project management skills
- Experience in supervising, student paraprofessionals, and/or student leaders
- Experience using Student Development Theories in an educational setting
- A bachelor's degree
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience, preferably in residential education
- A master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field
- A master's degree may be substituted for professional experience
- Must be able to participate in 24-hour on call duty rotations, as assigned
- Must be able to work in a full-time 12-month position
- Must be able to live in position
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify)
- Must be able to comply with Partner and pet policy in place for all live-in staff
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree required in higher education, student affairs, or related field preferred
