Residential Clinician

Residential Clinician provides treatment including individual, family, and group therapy to individuals at Vanderheyden, with responsibilities spanning intake planning, assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment planning; delivers weekly formal individual therapy and bi-weekly family therapy, facilitates weekly group therapy on Anger Management, Social Skills, Substance Abuse Education, and Healthy Relationships/Sexuality Education; conducts crisis intervention and mediation as needed; maintains communication with families/guardians regarding medication and clinical matters; chairs treatment team meetings, participates in CSE/school-related meetings, attends weekly medication reviews, clinical consults, and completes case-coordinator responsibilities as needed; proficiency with electronic record and billing; required education includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field with relevant licensure, plus a valid NYS driver’s license; must be available for a 40-hour work week, able to lift 25 pounds, and able to perform restraints with TCI certification; Vanderheyden emphasizes Sanctuary Model and trauma-informed care; Equal Opportunity Employer with protections for diverse populations.
