Job Summary
Residential Child Care Worker (RCCW) roles in a Scottish residential education setting. Be a nurturing presence for children aged 5-18, work on an all-year rota including evenings and weekends, support care plans and risk assessments, act as a designated keyworker, contribute to a safe, homely environment, and participate in ongoing training and PVG/SSSC registration processes. Requires SSSC registration within three months, driving licence, and ability to work across shifts with a flexible approach. Required Qualifications
- Qualifications in line with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements for residential child care workers (e.g. HNC and SVQs)
- Registration with SSSC or ability to register within three months
- Driving licence essential
- PVG scheme (Disclosure Scotland) requirements
- Experience in residential work and/or childcare
- Knowledge of child development and safeguarding policies
- Ability to undertake physical intervention when required
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Flexible and proactive attitude
