Job Summary
Provides care and supervision of clients in a residential facility, assisting with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming), monitoring health and safety, supporting participation in recreational and life-skills programs, and administering medications per policy. Responsibilities include documenting observations, offering counseling and support, encouraging participation in activities, ensuring a clean facility, and coordinating with program staff. Requires ability to read procedures, communicate effectively, remain calm under stress, and possess strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Education should include a high school diploma or GED with higher education preferred; experience with mentally ill individuals or in residential settings and medication administration are highly valued. Must be 18+, possess valid driver's license, and pass required criminal and health screenings (including TB) with CPR/first aid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; AA or BA preferred
- Experience passing medications required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Criminal record clearance as required by Title XXII, licensing regulations (FBI and DOJ)
- Health screening including TB clearance within required timeframe
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to administer first aid and CPR with proper training
