Job Summary
Residential Care Worker responsible for providing safety and security for residents, front-line reception duties (multiline telephone operation and greeting visitors), logging and distributing documentation, generating incident reports, conducting hourly facility rounds, monitoring resident passes, contributing to fire evacuation planning, and referring individuals to withdrawal management services in consultation with on-call staff. Requires experience with security systems, Microsoft Office, and vulnerable sector background checks; education up to two years of Community College in/social services; position located in Toronto with in-person work. Compensation range is $18.65-$19.32 per hour (annualized to roughly $38,792–$40,186). There is potential for benefits and professional development as described by the employer.
Required Qualifications
- Completed up to two years of Community College, preferably within social services sector
- Experience with multi line telephone systems
- Experience within social services sector, and/or mental health agencies
- Experience with security systems
- Experience in customer service or information desk service
- Awareness of community resources
- Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks (vulnerable sector check) satisfactorily
