Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations and lead a professional team to maintain "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted standards as the Registered Manager. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), protecting children from harm and ensuring all staff are expertly trained. Maintain rigorous records, lead quality of care reviews, and conduct independent visits. Recruit and mentor staff, supporting them through required qualifications and professional appraisals. Work closely with social workers and local authorities to advocate for the best interests of every child. Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with weekday evening on-call and shared weekend rota. Requires Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, two years in regulated care, and a Full UK Driving License.
Required Qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare
- At least 2 years in regulated children's residential care
- 1 year in a supervisory or management role
- Deep understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Strong leadership skills
- Full UK Driving License
