Job Summary
Residential Care Associate II provides personal care and environmental intervention for adults with a mental illness, following individualized treatment plans and an approved group curriculum. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, documenting on medical charts and counts, transporting clients to engage in treatment services, and maintaining productivity in documentation. The role supports clients to develop skills to maintain functioning, participates in a MHACBO-accredited training program earning CEUs, and works a Sunday–Tuesday night shift (10:00pm–8:00am) on a part-time basis. Must pursue QMHA registration, have driving privileges, and meet physical requirements; wage range starts at $21.63–$22.96/hour with nightly differential when applicable and a language differential for bilingual/multilingual candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration through MHACBO.
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three years of verifiable behavioral health experience with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education and training.
- Must register as QMHA - R through MHACBO during the first week of employment.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; maintain safe driving record.
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
- Ability to physically perform tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds; ability to crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings; willingness to participate in required trainings.
- Must be 18 or older at time of hire.
