Job Summary
Residential Care Associate II provides personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities per an approved evidenced-based curriculum; administers prescribed medications per physician orders and maintains medical charts; transports clients as needed to engage in treatment; adheres to productivity standards for documentation; supports adults with mental illness in a co-ed, eight-bed program; 7:00am–3:30pm weekend-day shift; training program with CEUs and supervision; eligibility for QMHA registration and related state licensing; driving is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training
- Must be eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the MHACBO
- Willingness to register as a QMHA - R through MHACBO during the first week of employment
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- pass DHS background check
- physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 40 pounds
- CPR and crisis de-escalation training completion
