Job Summary
Residential Care Associate I at The Guest House crisis facility in Eugene, OR, provides caring companionship and assists with daily tasks to clients, including personal care, meal preparation, and supporting the development of daily living skills. Under RN guidance, passes medications and performs delegated medical care, may transport clients to engage in treatment services, and ensures documentation meets productivity standards. Training pathway through MHACBO-accredited program earns CEUs toward mental health certifications. Schedule is Sunday through Monday, 7:00am–3:30pm (Part Time Day) with a night differential during designated hours and a language differential for bilingual/multilingual candidates. Requirements include driving with a valid license, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, successful completion of crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, and DHS background check; 18+ years old. The role falls within a nonprofit behavioral health provider offering a range of supports and a unionized work environment under AFSCME.
Required Qualifications
- Caregiving and/or mental health experience preferred
- Valid driver's license from state of residence or obtain within 30 days of hire
- Maintain safe driving record
- Ability to pass DHS criminal background check
- Crisis de-escalation training
- CPR trainings
- Willingness to complete required on-the-job training
- 18 years or older at time of hire
