Job Summary
Residential AV Service Technician role at BRAVAS specializing in diagnosing, repairing, and supporting luxury home smart systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving issues with Control4, Lutron, Savant, and Crestron; configuring and troubleshooting networks, A/V, and surveillance; using remote access and remote monitoring; coordinating with Service Manager; communicating with manufacturer tech support; managing parts and orders; identifying upgrade opportunities; delivering client service in person and remotely; maintaining records and participating in on-call rotation; and upholding client privacy and home security. Requires 2+ years in residential A/V or smart home installation/service, strong systems knowledge, ability to read schematics/CAD, troubleshooting, professional communication, driver’s license, and background check (security license preferred).
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart home system installation or service preferred
- Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare)
- Ability to read and interpret home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings
- Solid troubleshooting skills and comfort working independently in client environments
- Strong communication and client service skills with a professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn job management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check; security license preferred
