Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve issues with installed smart home systems including Control4, Lutron, Savant, and Crestron. Configure, program, and troubleshoot networks, control systems, A/V, and surveillance equipment while utilizing remote access tools to stabilize network-based systems. Coordinate with the Service Manager to track, document, and resolve recurring service issues, manage part replacements, and maintain accurate records of work orders and job costing. Deliver exceptional client service, training, and support in person and remotely. Participate in on-call rotation as assigned and uphold the integrity of home and network security at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods
- Willingness to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
- Ability to read and interpret home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings
- Solid troubleshooting skills
- Comfort working independently in client environments
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to quickly learn job management software
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart home system installation or service
- Security license
- Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare)
- Experience with products such as Control4, Lutron, Savant, and Crestron
- Experience with products including Homeworks
- Passion for design
