Job Summary
Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for residents through medication management, recreation, and facility management, ensuring trauma-informed care; conduct hourly resident observations, document in records, support treatment plans, coordinate activities, supervise meals and chores, perform safety drills, provide transportation when needed, monitor for safety and compliance, and contribute to agency meetings and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in human services or related field preferred
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- Two years of experience in the human services field, crisis intervention, residential setting, or emergency services
- Knowledge of homeless client issues preferred
- Experience with conflict resolution techniques preferred
- L2 certification required
- Ability to monitor and document client observations; adherence to confidentiality; ability to conduct urine toxicology tests; ensure safety and sanitation standards
