Job Summary
Residential Associate Clinician needed for on-site, part-time work in Sussex County, DE. Provides coordination, counseling, and encouragement to participants as they transition from residential services to more independent living. Responsibilities include completing initial and annual assessments, developing participant recovery plans from a person-centered perspective, presenting at case conferences, maintaining case records, liaising with community agencies and families, assessing mental health symptoms and responses to recovery to ensure timely interventions, and participating in staff planning and internal/external meetings. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field, knowledge of mental health and substance abuse supports, strong independent-work capability, excellent oral and written communication, and a valid driver’s license. Typical shifts include 8-hour blocks (morning, evening, or overnight) with weekend coverage as operationally needed. Horizon House offers competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, nursing, vocational/psychiatric rehabilitation, education or other mental health field from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse systems and supports
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Direct experience in mental health services with emphasis on direct care in a community-based setting
