Job Summary
Provide support for clients with substance/co-occurring disorders in a residential treatment setting, including monitoring safety and assisting with daily therapeutic and recovery activities. Facilitate client involvement in support groups, supervise clients (room checks, behavioral observations, and incidents), maintain client records, manage supplies, conduct psychoeducational classes using evidence-based materials, explain/enforce program policies, transport clients to outside groups/appointments/events, document medication schedules and monitor vitals, perform drug screens and searches per policy, and participate in ongoing training and supervision. Requires adapting to weekend/evening/holiday schedules and maintaining 60% direct client contact; uphold HIPAA privacy standards and professional boundaries, with emphasis on crisis-prevention and de-escalation as part of a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year personal recovery experience (if applicable)
- prefer 1 year experience in substance use/co-occurring field and knowledge of 12-Step recovery model
- Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry check
- valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance that meets state minimum requirements
