Job Summary
Residential Assistant at CORA’s Safe House provides daily operations support, crisis intervention, needs assessments, case management, and group facilitation for residents. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and confidentiality, facilitating resident activities and meetings, conducting intake and assessments, supporting transportation to appointments, coordinating inventory and upkeep of supply spaces, performing general housekeeping, documenting in client databases, and training/supervising volunteers. Requires onsite presence at CORA safe houses within San Mateo County, trauma-informed approach, ability to collaborate with partners, and maintaining program standards. Qualifications include a BA in a related field or equivalent experience, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and eligibility to work in the United States; valid CA driver’s license and fingerprint clearance may be preferred. The role is part-time, non-exempt, with a schedule (Mon-Fri 3pm-8pm) and up to 95% on-site work; mandated reporter status applies.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the provision of social services
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence preferred
- Completion of 40-hour domestic violence training preferred or required
