Job Summary
Lead residential programs and services across the assigned geographic region, providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality support for individuals with disabilities. Manage budget management, staffing, licensing, compliance, policy development, program performance, marketing, and proposal preparation while working closely with Area Managers, Program Directors, and state teams. Oversee program operations to ensure adherence to state regulations, licensing requirements, Medicaid Waiver standards, and HCBS expectations, maintaining readiness for audits and inspections. Monitor operational performance, staffing trends, and expenses to support financial health and long-term program success. Work 8 AM – 5 PM EST with flexibility, on-call availability, and intermittent travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field (e.g. health care, social services, education, behavioral science, or counseling)
- Minimum of seven years' experience in the field of developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or mental health with progressive levels of responsibility
- Four years' experience as a supervisor or manager
- Must be able to meet Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP) qualifications
- Understanding of person-centered supports, residential operations, Medicaid/SCL/Michelle P Waiver services, and compliance in accordance to the state's standards
- Have a working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to adapt to new technology platforms
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets agency insurance requirements
- Ability to mentor, guide, and develop leaders while creating alignment and accountability across teams
- Clearly convey expectations, provide feedback, and build relationships with staff, families, and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, and operational demands in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to monitor budgets, operational performance, and program efficiency while maintaining quality service delivery
- Some travel is required, for intermittent and extended overnight trips
- Must be available for flexibility as needed to meet deadlines or support initiatives
- Must be available for on call as needed
