Job Summary
Monitor all clients throughout assigned shifts by conducting regular rounds around the property and ensuring the daily program schedule is followed. Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, and monitor mealtimes while observing and documenting clients taking or refusing prescribed and over-the-counter medications. Supervise urinalysis as needed and communicate professionally with clients, staff, and supervisors regarding behavioral issues or challenges. Provide accurate shift change updates via written and verbal channels, attend team meetings, and adapt quickly to schedule or routine changes. Maintain ethical boundaries and adhere to HIPAA guidelines while observing for physical, cognitive, or behavioral changes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to observe, identify, document, & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
- Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
- Ability to deescalate.
- Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
- Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
- Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
- Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
