Job Summary
Residential Aide in CAMBA's Opportunity House shelter: assist clients in developing daily independent living skills through individual and group Activities of Daily Living (AOL) sessions (laundry, meal prep, personal hygiene, shopping, scheduling activities); maintain inventory of food and dry goods; provide facility orientation and personal care items; uphold client confidentiality and privacy policies; follow Universal Precautions; inform clients of program changes; conduct bed-checks; inspect dorms; monitor client behavior and report changes; ensure provision of personal care and laundry products; manage bed linens and towels; escort clients as needed; verify quality/quantity of food deliveries; prepare kitchen and dining facilities and meals; set up for meals; may coordinate social/peer support events; duties may evolve; training includes 15-hour Food Handler course and potential CPR/first aid and overdose prevention certifications; TB test required during onboarding; bilingual ability preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Sufficient Education: ability to comprehend basic reading, writing, and math skills to perform essential functions.
- Upon hire, participate in Department of Health Food Protection 15-hour Course, pass exam and become a certified Food Handler.
