Job Summary
Provide hands-on assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation; offer emotional support, companionship, and behavioral support; monitor and document behavior and progress; support following individualized care and behavioral plans; maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment; assist with medication reminders as permitted; accompany residents to appointments or community outings; collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions
- Experience as Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Caregiver
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Preferred: DSP, CNA, HHA, PCA certification; CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); High school diploma or equivalent
