Job Summary
Monitor the therapeutic milieu and client activities while ensuring a safe, drug-free environment. Respond to client crises and emergencies, transport clients to outside activities and evening AA meetings, and assist with admissions including body searches and property checks. Conduct headcounts, shift reports, and regular safety rounds to maintain supervision intervals. Document activities, observations, and client behaviors accurately in the Kipu system. Promote life skills, discharge planning, and self-help group education while modeling professionalism and empathy. Participate actively in the multidisciplinary treatment team and facilitate client group activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid driver's license and insurability
- CPR certification
- MANDT certification
- Minimum one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare or addiction recovery setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to empathize with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Kipu)
- Crisis de-escalation abilities
- Problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs multiple times throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, and move client luggage and personal belongings weighing approximately 20 to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout residential facilities for extended periods of time
- Ability to safely assist with routine residential tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strict adherence to the Code of Ethics
- Maintain stable attendance and demonstrate reliability
- Maintain a clean attendance record
